Mangosteen a Fruitful Socially-minded Enterprise

Our name was chosen to reflect something that is small and natural, that has origins in the developing world, and which is truly amongst the finest of its kind on Earth, but yet, in our experience, is not well known to those in the developed world.

The mangosteen is a fruit which hails from south-east Asia, is frequently referred to as the 'Queen of Fruits', and quite simply possesses a fantastic flavour.  Although rather sensitive to changes in temperature, and so not really suited to the long distance export-import business, fresh mangosteens can be found at markets throughout the developed world.  So, if you happen to see one, or are lucky enough to be given one, we recommend you take the opportunity to prise open the hull with your fingertips and sample the fabulous little white segments for yourself.

The hull too has its uses, and even scientific applications - having been employed in indigenous Thai medicine for years, it's recently been the subject of several scientific studies.

Our Website -

Firstly, because we weren't fast enough - is owned by a tropical fruit farmer in the US.  So if you'd like to try some we suggest you contact him.

Further to that, if you take away the T and the N - what's left is 'man go see'.

When placed one after another, of course these three small English words don't mean anything.  However, although not grammatically correct, this rather primitive syntax perfectly illustrates the simplicity of our approach and objectives, and what Mangosteen is all about, so begging the question:

how might a man be affected by the developing world if he takes the time to go and see it for himself?

Or a woman for that matter?

We also hope that it's a name that is fairly easy to recall, spell or pronounce should you want to spread the word to a friend or colleague.

Our Logos

Intentionally simple - the spherical purple fruit depicted is the mangosteen, and the arrow points from north to south, not towards Australia and New Zealand, but across the divide from the developed to the developing world.
